From the Principal
O. K., I am positive that I say this each year, but where did the year go? Seems like the older I get the faster the years go. Your children have been the light of our school. Their learning and progress towards personal goals has been inspiring. Hopefully, you too have experienced the same with them at home.
The end of the school year provides us with many opportunities to gather together and celebrate. To name a few, we have had Penguin Night, Solar System Night, Math nights for all grades, Kindergarten literacy night, the Variety Show, and the ever so popular PTA Spring Fair. One would think that was enough, but still to come; are Ecology Day, Kindergarten Orientation, Field Day, the infamous fifth graders against the teachers’ kickball game, and the Fifth Grade Farewell! It is always a pleasure to see you at these events.
The end of school also brings about many field trips for our students. All of these trips are made possible by the hard working PTA. It takes many hands to create these learning opportunities for our children, but the executive board meets monthly to plan, find volunteers, and put in the time and sweat equity to make all of the trips possible.
