From the Principal
How is it possible that I am writing the June newsletter? I know we say it every year, but where did the time go? Your children have grown and matured over the year, and are ready to enjoy the summer.
These last weeks of the year are always filled with many activities in and out of school. We have an incredibly active PTA which supports field trips and enrichment opportunities. Sylvia Green is the chair person of the enrichment committee, and we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to her for all of her coordination of activities. Each grade will be experiencing Chewonki sessions due to Sylvia and the PTA.
Last week’s PTA school fair was a huge success. Thank goodness the weather cooperated. It was the first outdoor fair in years. Many hands are involved in creating this joyous time. Thank you to all of you who participated.
Matt Green will be hosting his annual track meet for third fourth and fifth graders on Wednesday, June 10th. Matt has been running training sessions during recess for the last couple of weeks. We appreciate all Matt does for our school.
We will celebrate all of our volunteers on Thursday, June 4th at a Volunteer Breakfast in our library. We couldn’t possibly do all that we do without the help of these talented people.
